From Ben Brantley of the New York Times:
“Far more than the starry productions in Central Park…Mr. O’Brien’s vivacious interpretations
make Shakespeare breathe in the present tense, but without hyperventilating.”
“If anyone wonders about the future of live theater or asks where the audience is,
the answer is ‘Under that tent.’”

From Peter D. Kramer's Journal News Review of
Richard III on June 19, 2007:
"The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival is an absolute treasure...Presented in a state-of-the-art tent on a majestic bluff overlooking the Huson highlands, the festival is now in its 21st year...Go early. Picnic on the lawn. Tour the rose garden..."

Women's News:
“The magic of a picnic on the grounds of Boscobel Restoration overlooking the Hudson River
near sunset, followed by a classic performance, an irresistible combination.”
